Creativity and curiosity came together last week as our Year 3 students took part in a special RawArt incursion, exploring the beauty and diversity of Australia's native flora through hands-on artistic expression.
Connecting with their current English unit, students used their learning as inspiration to create stunning artworks celebrating the unique colours, shapes and stories found in Australian plants. Guided by the RawArt team, they experimented with different techniques while developing a deeper appreciation for the natural world around them.
The incursion provided a wonderful opportunity for students to extend their classroom learning in a creative and engaging way. As they observed and interpreted native flora through art, they also strengthened important skills in observation, imagination and self-expression.
The resulting artworks are a vibrant reflection of both our students' creativity and the rich beauty of Australia's natural environment.
A big thank you to RawArt for inspiring our young artists and helping bring their learning to life in such a meaningful way. We can't wait to see how our Year 3 students continue to explore and express their ideas throughout the term.
