Welcome to Our Lady of the Rosary School, Kenmore

On behalf of our school community, I warmly invite you to explore our website and discover what Our Lady of the Rosary School, Kenmore can offer your child and your family.
As part of Brisbane Catholic Education, OLR offers a contemporary Catholic education that nurtures the whole person—spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. Guided by BCE’s Growing and Thriving vision, we are committed to providing a learning environment where every student is known, valued and supported to flourish.
Our school motto, To Know, Love and Serve, is at the heart of who we are. As a member school of Marist Schools Australia, we seek to live this motto in a Marian way—looking to Jesus as Mary did, and shaping our relationships, learning and service through the Marist characteristics of Presence, Simplicity, Family Spirit, Love of Work, and In the Way of Mary. These values help our students think beyond themselves and consider how they can contribute to making our world a better place.
At OLR, we are proud of our dedicated, caring and professional staff who work in partnership with families to support each child’s growth. Our 2026 Explicit Improvement Agenda focuses on strengthening consistent, evidence-informed approaches to spelling, reading and writing. Through data-informed teaching, explicit instruction, Word Conscious Classrooms, Sound Organisers, collaborative professional learning and regular monitoring of student progress, we build strong foundations in literacy so every learner is capable and confident.

Our expansive campus provides many opportunities for students to belong, participate and excel. Our facilities include contemporary learning spaces renovated in 2026, a Library and Resource Centre, the Carroll Community Centre, a STEM Technology Lab, specialist music opportunities, Concert Band for students in Years 4, 5 and 6, an undercover sports court, swimming pool, tennis courts, and separate play spaces for lower and upper primary students. These spaces support a rich and balanced education that includes academic learning, faith formation, sport, music, technology, culture and the arts.
Children may commence Prep from the age of four and a half and continue their primary schooling journey through to Year 6, where they become OLR graduates and school leaders. We are proud of our students’ achievements across academic, sporting, cultural and community endeavours, and we are equally proud of the welcoming spirit that makes OLR a place where students and families feel a genuine sense of belonging.
Our hope is that every student who comes through the gates of OLR will grow as a capable learner, a person of faith and character, and someone ready to influence and contribute positively to the world.
I look forward to meeting you and your family as you begin or continue your child’s education journey and become part of the Our Lady of the Rosary School community.
