Student Achievements, Curriculum updates

Our Lady of the Rosary School is celebrating encouraging growth in the 2026 NAPLAN results, reflecting the consistent work and shared focus across the school in recent years.

This year’s results show strong improvement in student achievement, particularly in literacy, following a deliberate and sustained focus on writing, spelling and reading. In Year 5, 91% of students achieved in the Strong or Exceeding bands in both writing and numeracy. In Year 3, 87% of students achieved Strong or Exceeding in writing, with 75% achieving Strong or Exceeding in numeracy—clear signs of solid progress and growing confidence across the cohort.

Over the past three years, OLR teachers have worked together to strengthen classroom practice through clear, evidence-based approaches and targeted teaching strategies. This strong alignment across year levels has supported students to build confidence and capability in their learning.

Principal and staff are proud of the progress students have made, with the results highlighting not only achievement, but growth over time for many learners.

This success is a direct reflection of the dedication and expertise of our teachers and school officer team, whose commitment continues to make a meaningful difference for every student. Their work is supported by a range of assessment tools and data-informed practices, ensuring teaching is responsive and tailored to student needs.

OLR remains focused on continuing this positive trajectory, embedding strong teaching practices and building on the foundations already in place to support every learner.

Want to see this in action? We warmly invite you to visit Our Lady of the Rosary School, meet our team, and discover how your child can grow with confidence in a community that nurtures both smarts and big hearts.
