This semester the Year 4 students have explored how forces can be exerted by one object on another and investigated the effect of frictional, gravitational and magnetic forces on the motion of objects. They also examined the properties of natural and made materials including fibres, metals, glass and plastics and considered how these properties influence their use.

Last Tuesday, they attended a science incursion at the school as a culminating activity for both units. They created and launched their own rockets and changed the physical attributes of materials by combining different chemicals. This led to the creation of some interesting and rather gooey creations.

All students extended their learning and enjoyed the experience.
