Extra Curricular Activities

Debating
Students in Years 6 and 7 participate in the Queensland Debating Union competition and an intra-school competition.
Our school places great value on debating creating the opportunity for with many valuable skills to be learned and practiced.  The skills cover such areas as brainstorming, researching, collating, synthesising, building arguments, rebutting, learning and delivering speeches, following protocols for public speaking, voice production, capturing an audience and building self confidence.

Many of our students have carried on their debating into high school, with a number of them being in top secondary school teams. As most of the secondary colleges audition for debating entry, our students have great potential for selection due to their prior experience.

Inter-school Sport
Students in Years 5-7 are involved in inter-school sporting competition with schools in the district.
