Extra Curricular Activities
Students in Years 6 and 7 participate in the Queensland Debating Union competition and an intra-school competition.
Our school places great value on debating creating the opportunity for with many valuable skills to be learned and practiced. The skills cover such areas as brainstorming, researching, collating, synthesising, building arguments, rebutting, learning and delivering speeches, following protocols for public speaking, voice production, capturing an audience and building self confidence.
Many of our students have carried on their debating into high school, with a number of them being in top secondary school teams. As most of the secondary colleges audition for debating entry, our students have great potential for selection due to their prior experience.
Students in Years 5-7 are involved in inter-school sporting competition with schools in the district.

At Our Lady of the Rosary School students are able to access a number of extra curricular activities which operate during school, lunch times, before and after school. Some classes are held on a rotational basis. Places in some programs are limited. Because of their elective nature, it is necessary for parents to pay for the tutors and provide an instrument for the activities. Lessons are generally group lessons. Some individual classes may be arranged on requirement.
Classes are offered in:
