Class Structure

At Our Lady of the Rosary School the children are generally grouped into year level class groups from Prep to Year 7. From time to time it may be necessary to consider different organisational structures.

One of these structures is the provision of multiage classes - classes composed of children of different ages, intentionally grouped together for learning. These classes are a reflection of our understanding of how children learn and how teachers can provide effective learning environments.

CLASS STRUCTURE 2011

In 2011 OLR School is arranged in 25 class groups with 4 classes in most levels of the early years and 2-3 classes beyond Year 3. Years 6 & 7 function under a Middle School philosophy. The school has 2 Teacher-librarians, 2 Support Teachers, PE Teacher, Music Teacher, LOTE -(Language Other Than English) - Japanese Teacher, Guidance Counsellor,  and visiting music and drama tutors.
