Last year our annual Grandparents' Day kicked off Catholic Education Week. The day started with a Liturgy in the Our Lady of the Rosary Church. This is followed by morning tea supplied and manned by the amazing parent volunteers at our school. Grandparents then joined their excited grandchildren in the classrooms. At this stage
Grandparents day was such a happy day, with Grandparents coming from far and wide to spend time with their grandchildren in the classrooms. Each class set up various activities, old fashioned games and craft projects that the students and their Grandparents (or special adult visitor) participated in together.
During Catholic Education Week students will participate in a special prayer liturgy and on Thursday is 'crazy hair day'. Social justice is a topic of discussion in class this week and fund raised on the crazy hair day will go towards Centacare, as part of the Annual Catholic Campaign.
